Revenge reshuffle gives Labour a chance!

As John McDonnell says, it`s "clear that Dominic Cummings has won the battle" to take control of the Treasury, and "installed his stooge" as chancellor, but what is even more obvious is that this revenge reshuffle has given the Labour leadership candidates yet more fuel for their anti-government arguments (Star, 13/02/20).
There is a clear common denominator in the cabinet, from top down, and that is a penchant for being economical with the truth. Johnson even had them answering in unison, primary school-style, the lies he`s telling the people about increasing numbers of hospitals and schools. This cabinet, described by one Guardian writer as a bunch of "pipsqueaks and placemen", is marked also by the absence of any self-esteem, willing to brown-nose at the altar of autocratic power, regardless of the cost.
Allow yourselves to be treated as children, lack any moral scruple about misleading the people, and pursue policies which guarantee no end to inequality, unfair taxation or tax avoidance, and your position in the cabinet, it would appear, is guaranteed! Best not mention "unelected power"in Brussels, any more, just in case someone puts two and two together!
This government is a disaster-in-waiting. Very soon there are bound to be revelations about some connections with the far right, dodgy business dealings, or tax avoidance. On that subject, now is a very good time for the leadership candidates to say that all members of their shadow cabinets must be willing to have their recent tax records made public so that the gauntlet can be thrown down to the Tories as soon as possible.
